Unlike conventional surgery, which many patients avoid due to pain, long recovery time, and visible scarring, EVLA offers a safe, effective, and cosmetically superior alternative. In this procedure, a fine laser fibre is gently inserted inside the affected vein under local and tumescent anaesthesia. Guided through a thin catheter, the laser delivers controlled heat along the length of the diseased vein, causing the vein walls to shrink, seal, and eventually be absorbed by the body. The treatment typically takes 20–30 minutes, involves only a small needle puncture, and requires no stitches or major incisions.
